Pe 25 martie 2025, Institutul Regional de Oncologie Iași (IRO) a marcat un moment important în istoria sa, împlinind 13 ani de activitate continuă în domeniul oncologic. În acești ani, IRO a devenit un pilon esențial în asistența medicală pentru pacienții cu diverse neoplazii, nu doar din Regiunea de Nord-Est a țării, ci și din alte colțuri ale României.
În urmă cu 13 ani, pe 25 martie 2012, institutul a primit primii 64 de pacienți, iar de atunci adresabilitatea a crescut semnificativ. La finalul anului 2024, numărul persoanelor aflate în evidența IRO cu diverse forme de cancer a depășit 20.000. Acest lucru reflectă încrederea și necesitatea continuării tratamentelor specializate în acest domeniu, precum și profesionalismul echipelor medicale ale institutului.
IRO Iași continuă să fie un centru de excelență în diagnosticarea și tratamentul cancerului, oferind pacienților acces la cele mai noi tehnologii și terapii, precum și sprijinul unui personal medical dedicat și experimentat.
